New Safmarine port call in Egypt brings more opportunities
We are the shipping partner who brings you closer to markets that matter to you. This is why at Safmarine, we are expanding our portfolio of ports in Egypt by adding Sokhna call to our services.
With this new port call, you have more opportunities to explore the potentials of the Egyptian market to and from Far East and Middle East. We now serve all major ports in Egypt, including Port Said East, Port Said West, Damietta, Alexandria and Dekheila.
Starting March 23, 2016, our weekly feeder service at Sokhna will connect you to our global network. Sokhna will be served by our 344 feeder service and the rotation will be as follows:
King Abdullah (Saudi Arabia) – Jeddah (Saudi Arabia) – Aqaba (Jordan) – Sokhna (Egypt)
Sokhna port is located 40 kilometres below the southern entrance of the Suez Canal, on the West Coast of the Gulf of Suez. It caters for approximately 20% of containerized market volume for Egypt, making it a preferred gateway for the Eastern trades.
